Shanghai Museums: Choices of International Museum Day

Long Museum (West Bund)

On May 18th International Museum Day, the Long Museum offers a rather strong preference. “Beyond Clouds: Wang Jieyin Solo Exhibition”, “The Ink of Scholars: Calligraphy in the Ming Dynasty from Long Collection”, “Times of Prosperity: the Imperial Art of High Qing”, “The Gone Historical Relics: Exhibition of Comics” are open free to the public.

Long Museum, which was established by couple collectors Liu Qianyi and Wang Wei and constructed by architect Liu Yichun (Atelier Deshaus), was opened on March 29th, 2014. The museum has four floors: the first and second floors above the ground is exhibition space of contemporary paintings, sculptures, installations and new media arts; the first basement floor is the regular exhibition space of Chinese ancient art and paintings at the period of Republic of China.
